City farms

OWN VERTICAL

World food demand is growing slowly but steadily. Along with this, the number of city farms also growing.

Innovative farming technologies allow you to grow plants indoors without sunlight. This cultivation process known as, vertical farms or, as many call them, city farms. This method is ideal for growing young plants, leaf crops, greens, berries, flowers, medicinal plants, mushrooms, etc. It gives us opportunity to produce green products in cities without using of pesticides. This method maximizes production with technologies, LED lighting, automated irrigation, etc., providing much higher yield in a smaller area.

One of the significant advantages of vertical farms is saving of water resources. Today, many countries have problem with water for irrigation. Vertical farms consume 75 to 95% less water than traditional farming.

Vertical farms do not require a large area and could be placed in large cities, which today have become the main consumers of this product. In practice, they can be located in almost any place.

In city farms, you can organize an almost continuous cycle of growing products regardless of the time of year. There is no dependence on weather conditions: droughts, frosts and floods, hail cannot damage the plantations or reduce productivity.

Since production capacities are close to potential sales markets, there is a significant saving in transportation costs. Among other things, this leads to a reduction in harmful emissions, which are proportional to the distance from the place of production to the place of consumption.

A vertical farm is a greenhouse that uses a multi-tiered arrangement of plants. There is no soil - the roots of plants are fed with water, which is saturated with useful trace elements in the optimal proportion.
